Harley Bassman is largely known as the "Convexity Maven." He started off his career at Merrill Lynch, where he marketed and traded a variety of derivative and structured products throughout his 26-year tenure. After, he managed the North American MBS and Structured Finance trading, built the RateLab, and served as the executive vice president and portfolio manager at PIMCO. Harley currently serves as the managing partner at Simplify Asset Management.
Harley has a bachelor's degree in management science from the University of California, San Diego and a Master of Business Administration in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago.
