Matt Weinschenk is the director of research for Stansberry Research. He also serves as the senior analyst for Dr. David Eifrig's Retirement franchise of publications and sits on the investment committee for Stansberry Portfolio Solutions.
With more than a decade of experience as an equities analyst, Matt started picking investments just before the global financial crisis of 2008 – quickly learning about investing in both good times and bad. Before joining Stansberry Research in 2013, he provided research for The Oxford Club and was a founding analyst for the White Cap Report and Wall Street Daily – focusing on small-cap stocks and disruptive technologies.
At Stansberry, Matt works to find safe ways to grow capital in Retirement Millionaire, income-generating investments in Income Intelligence, and option trades in Retirement Trader and Advanced Options. His approach marries fundamental research and business quality with a quantitative understanding of the factors that drive stocks over both short- and long-term horizons.
Matt has been a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder since 2014. He also holds bachelor's degrees in economics and political science from the University of Pittsburgh and a master's in applied economics from Johns Hopkins University.
